Booking procedure

 

After the room availability be confermed by the management via email, a deposit of 30% of the total cost of your stay will be required to guarantee the reservation. This can be paid by bank transfer or via paypal. All communication will be made via email to ensure the attainment of the process.

 

Form of payment

 

Once you have checked in, you will be asked for the remaining balance of your stay, which is not returned in case of early departure. Important: Payment preferably in cash, bank transfer or Paypal. 

 

Cancellation, early departures, no shows

 

Cancellation: in case of cancellation 10 days before the stay, the amount paid will be refunded fully. In case of cancellation less than 10 days before the stay, the deposit paid will be retained. In case of cancellation by the guest during the stay, the full amount will be retained.

 

Early departures: In case of early departures, for exemple 1 or 2 days before the end of your stay, we will keep the entire booked amount, and a refund for the days not take it, will be not possible. We will keep the  money in order to cover planned expenses and arrangements. Please keep in mind the B&B is not a hotel but a family-run business, and we appreciate your understand.

No show: In case of no show, you will be fully charged according to the booking length. 

 

Arrival and Departure

 

Check in: from 14:00h to 00:00h. Early or postponed times must be required and agreed at the time your booking is made, as we can have guests after or prior you, we need allow enough time between to guarantee the proper rearrange and cleaning of the room.

 

Check out: strictly by 10:00h. Different times must necessarily be agreed. If you need to stay longer, please communicate previously and we will do our best to accommodate and help you. 

 

The arrival

 

As the B&B is a small family-run business, there is no reception service available 24/7 like in a hotel, so please let us know your estimated time arrival by phone at least 24 hours before your arrival . Arriving at the B&B without having notified your ETA can cause delays in your check-in and this problem cannot be a reason for complaints or claims for reimbursement.

Upon arrival at the B&B it is necessary to provide for all guests, adults and children, a valid identity card, passport, driving license or other in order to complete the registration required by legislation. The data of our guests are treated in accordance with the current privacy legislation.

At check-in you will be given the keys for the entrance and bedroom, which you will have to return upon your departure. Be careful to not lose the keys, as their replacement will cost €50 Euros to be paid at the moment of the event.

 

Safety

 

Inside the building and our B&B, due to public safety, the access of any person other than registered guests are strictly prohibited. 

Please respect common areas, such as the entrance and stairways, in order to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment for the neighbors and other guests.

Luggage: La Trinacria B&B is not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of objects left in the common areas. We suggest that you always keep the most important items with you all times. It is not allowed to leave personal items in the common areas, and we do not take responsibility for those left behind.

Always remember to close the door of your room and the main entrance door of the B&B.

Please supervise your children during your stay. Any damage caused by children will be charged at the end of the stay.

 

Breakfast

 

Breakfast is served from 8:00h to 10:00h.

 

Measures due to COVID 19 : the breakfast is served 1 room at time. This is to avoid crowd in the room, and also to allow us to clean up after each guest. Please be aware of the time, so you don't delay others breakfast.

 

Cleaning

 

The cleaning of the bedrooms and bathrooms is carried out between 10:00h and 12:00h, except in extraordinary situation. After this time cleaning is not guaranteed. We suggest to vacate the room by 10:00h and arrange your luggages and pertences to allow the cleaning.

Due to the water conservation policy in Sicily during the summer, towels and bedsheet are changed every 3 days.

The use of water

 

It is always good to remember that water is a rare and precious goodness, and so a correct and rational use of water is highly recommended in order to avoid any unnecessary waste. The hot water is fed by an electric boiler in each bathroom, and your racional use will be appreciated.

Avoid throwing anything in the toilet other than toilet paper (please use the bins for any other material or paper).

Be careful when closing taps and drains. Please make sure it is closed properly before you leave to avoid water leak.

 

Damages compensation

 

Any damage caused to the property must be reported so it can be repaired or replaced. Payment will be required once the damage has been measured.

 

Smoking, alcohol, drugs

 

Smoking is only allowed on the bedroom's balcony. In all other areas, smoking is prohibited. When smoking on the balcony, be sure to strictly use the ashtrays. Please don't put out your cigarette or leave butts in our plants.
The use of illicit drugs is strictly prohibited on the property.

Please consume alcohol with moderation.  

 

Animals

 

Small pets are allowed inside our facility only with prior confirmation during the booking.

 

Other rules

 

The use of the kitchen is allowed only upon request, except during breakfast hours.

Please do not remove equipment or furniture from the B&B premises.

Please do not use your room for any purpose other than accommodation.

Avoid yelling or running up stairs and corridors.  

We expect proper and respectful behavior during your stay.

Final acknowledgement

​

If the guest does not comply with this regulation in its entirety, we reserve the right to interrupt your stay in our B&B, according to the applicable contractual regulations. Being convinced of your collaboration, we thank you for choosing our place and we wish you a peaceful and happy stay at La Trinacria B&B!
